NEO-SOUL Amy Nicole Edmonds aka Eniqo was born in Monroe, Louisiana (a small Northern city within the bounds of Quachita Parish).

From a very young age she showed a vibrant personality along with an entertaining nature and was recognized as gifted, often being looked upon in awe by those she came into contact with! As Eniqo grew older, her gifts became more and more evident, picking up the pencil and expressing herself in a manner beyond her years.

She fondly remembers, grabbing the handle of a nearby broom, mop or greasy hairbrush and singing in the middle of her grandmother’s kitchen floor, eyes squeezed shut. Even then her soulful, passionate vocals would catch everyone’s attention around her. There was no question that she was born to touch people through song!

Towards the latter years of grade school, she moved to Dallas, TX with her mother (where she currently still resides). In the “Big D”, Eniqo became avidly involved in church and community choirs working with gospel greats such as John P. Kee, Kirk Franklin, and Greg O’quin.

At the age of 18, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy and set sail for Puerto
Rico. Though her mind belonged to the military, her
soul still belonged
to music and
she was
determined
to stay connected
to who she really was. While stationed on the island she
became lead
female vocalist
for a local band
and was one-half
of a duet known
as Essence, performing in
plays and talent shows on base. During some of these
performances,
she would often move audience members to tears, while shedding some of her own
on stage.

Eniqo was born after leaving the U.S. Navy, she
truly found her
light and it shines brighter than any words can
express.
This is
not a childhood dream! For her, it
is what she was
put here to do
and with faith in
the things that thecreator has placed in her ...
she is beyond a doubt one of the most soul-stirring artists to hit the scene, speaking
of life and love
and inspiring
people to find and abide by who
they really are.
