St. Maarten to host the second annual Caribbean World Beauty and Barber
Tradeshow – a cross-cultural fashion & beauty professional development event
Caribbean World Beauty and Barber Tradeshow TORONTO
– March 19, 2008 - In August 2008, top fashion and beauty
professionals from North America will head south to the beautiful
island of St. Maarten to participate in the second annual Caribbean World Beauty and Barber Tradeshow (CWBBT).
Presented by Stile Diva Inc. this week-long fashion beauty event
focuses on strengthening both artist and industry development, while
reinforcing the ties between North American and Caribbean markets.
Industry professionals will have opportunities to sharpen trade skills,
showcase and build their portfolios by networking with the
world’s top industry experts. The 2008 CWBBT will take place at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino in St. Maarten from August 23 – 30, 2008 through partnerships with the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau and MSI Travel.
The CWBBT will include a
variety of exciting affairs including: fashion shows, hands-on
workshops, business development seminars, shopping events, hair styling
and makeup artistry competitions and award ceremonies.
Various experts and celebrity stylists will be in attendance to share their knowledge, such as Nadia Vassell, who has perfected the art of working with hair weaves. With a list of clients including recording artists Ashanti and Chrisette Michele,
Vassell’s work can be seen on the pages of Essence and Black
Sophisticate, as well as in numerous music videos and television
commercials.
The week-long CWBBT will also
include two youth days dedicated to mentoring young men and women
interested in pursuing careers in related industries. Over these
two days, young people will participate in career showcases and receive
advice and motivation from famous faces in fashion, entertainment and
beauty.
