Caribbean World Beauty and Barber Tradeshow
The CWBBT began in 2007, under the name Stile Diva
Hair Shows, as a pilot project used to introduce fashion tourism to St.
Maarten. After garnering worldwide media attention and making St.
Maarten history, Stile Diva co-founders Shereen Ashman and Stacy Ann Violenes plan to make this year bigger and better than the last.
“Last
year’s event totally exceeded our expectations,” said
Ashman. “Our plan was never to make history. We wanted to
produce the platforms needed to leverage the talent and skills of a
younger generation.”
“Seeing that you’ve helped others gain confidence and build
self esteem is the most gratifying experience in the world. And
at the end of the day, that feeling is what motivates us at Stile Diva to keep going.”
The second annual CWBBT will
serve as a networking forum for fashion designers, hair stylists,
cosmetologists, estheticians, models and beauty product manufacturers.
Established in 2007, Stile Diva Inc. is a social enterprise which plans
and executes fashion productions and promotional events. Partners
Shereen Ashman (based in Toronto) and Stacy Ann Violenes
(based in the Caribbean) work with clients and communities to create
opportunities for growth, development and exposure through showcases,
exhibitions and cross promotions. Stile Diva also aims to hone
and expose emerging talents who offer fresh insights to the world.
