My name is Janet Sun. I was born in KunMing,in the south of China close to the
many nationalities of China, like Dai, Bai,and the Tibetans.
I work in a
company, KunMing JieSi, Co. Ltd. that I started with my parner and childhood
best friend. We do bio-degradable plastic products, and also sponsor a summer
study program called ChinaQuest where college students come from all over the
world to learn about the ethnic groups of China, and see the tibetan lands
preserved perfectly without pollution for thousands of years.
My latest
big endeavor has a theater performance group called HuaYi (www.huayi.org), where I most recently
played lead role in the comedy "As You Wish". I was
a eighteen-year-old who overcame scheming family and debilitating
poverty with charm and wit - ending up married and rich! It's a good
comedy in many different ways...
Aside from theater reading and
modern dance are my long-time hobbies. Milan Kundera is my favorite author. For
many reasons his work is always calming and inspiring.
