“What Else is There?”……Well, there’s Tonya Kennedy!Newfoundland-born
Tonya Kennedy now resides in Barrie, Ontario, and is chasing her dream
of becoming a recognizable face in New Country Music. At the rate
she’s going, surely it won’t take long. Tonya has
been singing since grade-school, and has honed her act over the years
to where she is now performing on stages across Canada.

As the
winner of the KX96 contest in 2005, she was afforded the opportunity to
record a single and release it to radio. The title of that song
--- “What Else is There?” These days she’s
discovering the answer to that very question as her career expands to
include performing alongside such acts as Kim Mitchell, Honeymoon
Suite, Aaron Lines, and Willie Mack. As she prepares to record
her yet-to-be-titled, first full-length CD with CCMA Producer of the
Year, Richard Hutt, Tonya and her husband/writing partner Neil Kennedy,
have written a new song titled “Dear God”, which she
incorporated into her upcoming benefit concert for breast cancer on
October 18th. The benefit concert raised $6,300. The song will be downloadable from
www.myspace.com/tonyakennedymusic with 50% of sales going to the
worthy cause. Look for the CD in early 2008. In the
